I'm beginning to start to look elsewhere for my next car purchase with a manufacturer that has more integrity. But sacrificing safety is starting to get REALLLLLLY annoying, and is making me lose faith in the one car maker that i've ALWAYS (and my family has always) shopped for exclusively.
I understand them not making a full recall (save money and time, of course). I feel like they should at LEAST cover the cost of the DRIVER side visor if that's the one that breaks. After attempting to find out if Toyota would fix it, i found out that it was not considered a true recall, but was under the name of 'Customer Support Program.' Once seeing which cars qualify, and talking to Toyota too, they said they would not cover the cost to replace the visor.
(A different problem i will complain about on here) The broken visor ended up in a lot of near accidents, but fortunately never ended up in one. Especially since theres an additional issue of the melting dashboard that caused bad reflection straight into my eyes.

It was on the drivers side, which made it especially dangerous to not have a visor.
